In Japanese, Maki means "to wrap" or "to roll." This skirt is a study in Ma as a living fold—an interactive space created as the fabric overlaps the body, offering the quiet security of being tucked in while remaining completely free to move.

The Maki is an exploration of "Modular Geometry." Moving away from fixed construction, this calf-length silhouette is crafted from two expansive rectangular panels of Ajrakh hand-block printed fabric. We have engineered a hidden button-and-loop system that allows for a fully adjustable waist, secured by long fabric tie-ups that provide the effortless drape of a traditional wrap with the reliable stability of a tailored garment.
